Something I've been wondering about...

Hi guys,

Were there different sound systems/radios for the Plus avaliable in 97?

It always strikes me as odd that the stereo/radio has a casette player in it. I am not much into Hi-Fi, but i remember I had a CD-player in my livingroom back in 94', and seldom used casettes. Why do you think they attached a cassette player in the front, along with the 6-CD changer in the back, as late as 97'?

I thought cassettes were outdated by then.

Or is it just my car? Maybe you have other systems in your cars?

Regards,

A.

Two diffrent radios and two diffrent sound-systems were possible.

The radio "Gamma" with the normal sound-system was standard, this system was passiv, the amplifier was in the radio, the radio was able to take cassetts but no CD-changer could be used.

The radio "Delta CC BOSE" had allways the aktiv BOSE-sound-system, here every speaker has his own amplifier, the CD-changer was a option, the radio was able to take cassetts.

A CD-radio without tape-system was never offered in a PLUS.
